Fisura is a project created by artists Samuel Chambi and Natalia Documet. Together, they envisioned a gallery that breaks the barriers established by large art institutions, fostering horizontal relationships where art invites rather than intimidates. The space, once a textile factory, now serves as a meeting point for new generations interested in art, offering a platform for dialogue on topics that affect and represent them.
As a cultural space, Fisura goes beyond conventional openings by collaborating with Bar Efímero to host event closings featuring guest bands and unique performances. The project thrives on self-management, aiming to empower young art production and decentralize the art market and its production concepts.
This project was initiated in mid-2020 and involved three months of collaboration with the artists and curation of art projects, resulting in a vibrant and innovative cultural experience.
